Successful Medical Mission to Iraq
Thursday, July 16, 2009
On July 14th, 2009, Dr. Robert Clifford and his colleagues from Remember returned from the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq after a successful medical outreach. Working through the Iraqi church, the team was able to implement clinics for displaced and underserved individuals. Dr. Clifford, local internist/CPA parent Dr. Chris McLain, CPA parents Keith Holley, Rick Jackson and four other team members spent several days ministering to the medical needs of Kurdish, Iraqi and Iranian adults and children. Toward the end of the trip, the team was invited into the local orphanage to minister to its residents and staff. Equipped with tens of thousands of dollars worth of donated medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, the Remember Team extended free medical assessments and therapies to hundreds of patients -- many of whom have very limited access to even the most basic health care.
"It never ceases to amaze me how often God's people thrive in the midst of persecution," marvels Dr. Clifford. "Scripture assures us that God's grace is sufficient; and, His strength is perfected in our weakness. These people are, indeed, a testimony to God's glory!"
The team members are so thankful for all of your prayers and look forward to the opportunity to share their experience with you.
